I am a passionate and dedicated osteopath with a background in healthcare and a strong focus on holistic healing.
“To find health should be the object of the osteopath; anyone can find disease” – Andrew Taylor Still.
Osteopathy is a manual therapy that complements traditional medicine that won me over for its focus on promoting individual health rather than treating disease. My aim as an osteopath is to identify the root causes of issues rather than just managing symptoms.
My journey in osteopathy began in Milan, Italy at the International College of Osteopathic Medicine leading me to pursue a Bachelor’s Degree with Honors in Osteopathy. I furthered my education with a Master’s Degree in Paediatrics Osteopathic Care and Sport Osteopathy.
After practicing in Italy for a while I pushed myself to move abroad and discover more about osteopathy. I think this move would be so enriching from both a professional and a personal perspective.
My area of interest now lies in understanding the intricate functioning of the Autonomic Nervous System (ANS), particularly in its relation with Chronic Pain. Chronic Pain can be incredibly challenging to manage, as when something is impact us since a long time our brain start to distort the way we perceive sensations in our body, ultimately leading to feelings of discomfort and pain that can impact our daily lives. Thanks to the osteopathic treatment we can get an access to our ANS and reset our brain from those annoying loop and be pain free.
I use a comprehensive approach in osteopathy, assessing each patient to identify the root cause that is now responsible of symptoms. While treating I go straight to cause of the dysfunction to treat it with structural, cranial of visceral techniques based on the individual patient’s needs. Of an empathetic nature I am therefore attentive to individual needs. I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship with my patients and involving them in the healing process in order to ensure a comprehensive and personalized treatment.
During my time in Italy, I served as an Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) and I co-founded a non-profit volunteering association focused on children’s entertainment; these experiences enriched my ability to work effectively in a team and strengthened my interpersonal skills.
I thrive in both social settings and the solitude of nature, finding joy in climbing, skiing and sailing.
I’m happy to have found a place here at Mallow, Fermoy and Blarney Clinics to join a big multidisciplinary team.
