Cranio-Sacral Therapy for Babies
Cranial osteopathy is a very gentle and soothing type of Osteopathic treatment. The Osteopath uses refined touch and gentle pressure to encourage the release of tension and the correction of mechanical disturbance throughout the body. It is a very gentle adjustment without any ‘clicking’ of the joints. The Osteopath works with their hands on the cranium (head) and sacrum (tail bone) palpating the motion of the bones and the subtle rhythmic pulsation of the C.S.F.(cerebrospinal fluid) which help address disturbances throughout the body aswell as issues associated with both a natural birth and caesarean section.
Arthritis and Osteopathy
Osteopathy can help alleviate the symptoms of osteoporosis, rheumatoid, psoriatic and osteoarthritis. Arthritis is a natural degenerative process – as we get older the wear and tear of everyday living can affect many joints of the body. It can cause patients a great deal of pain and restriction into the hips, back, knees, neck and shoulders. Osteopathy is a very gentle but effective treatment for patients suffering with arthritis. Osteopathic treatment can help keep the body as mobile as possible.
